Savannah Police Chief Roy Minter announced Friday that current Maj. Lenny Gunther has been selected as the second assistant chief for the police department.
"Effective Aug. 4, Gunther will begin his role as assistant chief of the department’s Field Operations Bureau, heading the department’s efforts and initiatives to continuously reduce crime," the department said in a statement.
Also recently named Assistant Chief was Stephenie Price, a 20-year veteran of the Kansas City (Mo.) Police Department who joined SPD in April.…
