If you’re a parking violator with a packed pantry, the City of Savannah has a deal for you this holiday season.
From Monday, Dec. 7, through Thursday, Dec. 17, anyone with a City of Savannah parking citation for an expired meter or overtime in a time zone can get that ticket waived by donating canned food to those in need as part of the “Food for Fines” incentive.
Bring in a minimum of 10 canned food items to Parking Services headquarters, 100 E. Bryan St., and one parking citation will be excused. Any accumulated late fees on that citation will be excused as well.…
